Description

The N2400 is a 24-channel pneumatic actuator controller, giving each channel an independent switched 24VDC output plus two opto-isolated limit switch inputs (extended and retracted) with front-panel LED position indication. Every channel also has its own manual/auto override switch, so individual actuators can be operated or tested by hand without disturbing the rest of the system.

Each output is fused at 100mA and rated for 75mA continuous with all 24 channels active simultaneously. Standard units break out each channel on its own 9-pin DSub connector; the N2400-D25 variant instead banks all channels onto D25 connectors for denser cabling.

Remote control is available over RS-232 (SCPI protocol), USB, or a 10Mbit/sec fiber-optic loop using ST bayonet connectors compatible with 1mm plastic optical fiber (POF); the fiber loop connects to a host over Ethernet through an A360, A500, or A560 loop controller. Diagnostic host software is included for Windows, and an IG2 channel access layer is available for EPICS systems.

Features

  • 24 independent channels, each with switched 24VDC output (100mA fused, 75mA rated with all channels on) and two opto-isolated limit switch inputs
  • Front-panel LED indication for extended/retracted limit switch state and auto/manual mode per channel
  • Individual manual/auto override switch per channel
  • RS-232 (SCPI), USB (3Mbit/sec), and fiber-optic loop (10Mbit/sec, ST bayonet, 1mm POF) interfaces
  • Standard individual 9-pin DSub connectors per channel, or banked 25-pin DSub connectors (N2400-D25 variant)
  • Diagnostic host software for Windows; IG2 channel access layer available for EPICS
  • 19" rack mounting, 2U, 3.6kg

Applications

  • Multiple pneumatic actuator systems
  • General 24V solenoid switching and monitoring applications

Fiber Optics

Pyramid transmits measurement data over fiber-optic cable instead of copper, keeping signals immune to electrical interference. Our radiation-hard fibers have minimal light attenuation, enabling fast, reliable messaging across enormous distances.
