I200 - 2x Charge Integrator

The I200 is a two-channel digital electrometer built around independent gated integrator channels, each covering a dynamic range from 0.1pA to 100µA. Dual feedback capacitors on each channel are software-selectable in real time (10pF and 1000pF by default, with alternate values available as a build option), and integration time is adjustable from 20 microseconds to 10 seconds across continuous, charge-accumulation, or triggered-burst modes.

Input noise is under 200fA rms and offset under 10pA (typically under 3pA), with external accuracy better than 0.5% of full scale after calibration against the built-in current source. Five trigger modes, from free-running internal autorun to external start/stop/hold and remote message triggering, cover everything from continuous monitoring to precisely gated single-shot measurements.

An optional integrated PID servo controller extends the I200 into closed-loop stabilization applications: it can drive a 0 to 10V analog output at up to 200Hz based on any of five process variable functions of the two input channels (I1, I1/I2, I1+I2, I1-I2, or (I1-I2)/(I1+I2)), with automated peak-scan, peak-spectrum-upload, and servo-suspension functions built in. This is commonly used to stabilize double-crystal monochromators on synchrotron beamlines by controlling the crystal cage piezo amplifier, or to hold beam position steady in charged particle or photon beamlines.

Communication is available over RS-232, USB, or a 10Mbit/sec fiber-optic loop using ST bayonet connectors compatible with 1mm plastic optical fiber or 200µm HCS fiber, with Ethernet access to the host through an A300 or A500 loop controller. An optional auxiliary high voltage supply (0 to 1000V, polarity and maximum voltage set at the factory) is available for biasing ionization chambers or similar detectors.

This is the legacy product that is replaced with newer ones and no longer recommended in new design but receives technical support.
