PX-3 - 120 Pixel Transmission Ion Chamber
The PX-3 is a compact and high-resolution pixelated ionization chamber designed for precise beam diagnostics in particle therapy and high energy ion beam applications. With 120-pixel readout and ultra-thin film electrodes, it offers real-time two-dimensional measurement of beam shape, position, and trajectory with minimal scattering, making it ideal for always in beam use. Available in two-pixel geometries (3.8-millimeter pitch over 42 millimeters or 2.5-millimeter pitch over 28 millimeters), the PX-3 delivers accurate and stable performance across a wide range of beam species and energies, from 30 to 500 MeV per nucleon.
Designed for versatility and low-profile integration, the PX-3 is just 20 millimeters thick with a water equivalent thickness of only 100 micrometers. It operates in atmospheric air or flow through gas environments and includes built in temperature, pressure, and humidity sensors, as well as a replaceable desiccant cartridge to ensure reliable long-term operation. The PX-3 is fully compatible with Pyramid's I128 readout electronics and comes with cable and adapter options for flexible deployment in clinical and research settings.
